THOR—Verizon's mobile, 5G, rapid-response command center—is capable of getting everything back online within minutes after a disaster.
Help first responders get better acquainted with THOR and its capabilities.
A fully immersive virtual discovery experience, in which first responders can explore THOR’s every nook and cranny with detailed specs and videos.
We put first responders right inside the virtual driver’s seat, giving them the option of a guided tour, or a choose-your-adventure route.
We built the immersive experience by capturing THOR with a Matterport camera, and building out hotspots where visitors can dive in deep on a feature with specs, an animation or video showing the feature in action.
Visitors can launch from THOR’s tethered drone, see THOR’s lidar capabilities and a whole lot more.
The tour can be experienced in full VR, on a computer or phone.
For instances where we needed to demonstrate an invisible feature, like a PACE plan, we used animations to show how a signal is carried from one device to another without interruption. Each animation was custom-made in-house from concept to final export.
From animation and photography to location scouting and equipment, we produced every element of the experience in-house.
We were agile and worked closely with Verizon’s team to coordinate a time and place to film a truck whose schedule is very weather dependent.
We did it all with maximum efficiency, narrowing in on a location virtually without accumulating additional travel costs and utilizing highly versatile equipment so we could film in a remote location without compromising creative quality.
The virtual experience is leading THOR’s exposure within Verizon’s Frontline department. THOR is utilized for events, and is also hosted online so that it can be put to better use, providing more aid around the country and connecting first responders when they need it most.
